Bruno Silva has a degree in animal science from Universidade Federal de Viçosa (Brazil) and a master’s degree in animal bioclimatology at the same institution. He received his Ph.D. in animal bioclimatology and swine nutrition from Universidade Federal de Viçosa – UFV (Brazil) and the Institute National de la Recherche Agronomique – INRA (France) and a post – doctorate in nutrition of pigs from Universidade Federal de Viçosa (Brazil). Silva worked as a researcher at the Institute for Pig Genetics IPG bv, Netherlands, and a swine nutritionist for TOPIGS Norsvin International.
Currently, he is a professor and researcher in nutrition and swine production and environmental adaptation at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG, Brazil).
